If New York beaches were as beautiful and serene as SoCal beaches then I would never leave them.
The beach is my happy place. North or South on the PCH from Malibu to Laguna, it doesn’t matter. I love SoCal beaches. I feel right at home once I step out of the car and my feet touch the sand. It is my happiness and where my heart is!
I spend everyday on the beach when home or when I’m in Cali that is. My family lives in Irvine, California (aka the OC) which is about 15 minutes from Laguna and 20 minutes from Newport or Huntington Beach. When I return home to relax with the family, I’ll spend my days at one of these three beaches. But when I travel to LA for work/play, I’ll head over to Venice or Malibu.
The earlier the better for me. For one, I don’t have to worry about the sun beaming down. Two, the air is quiet and peaceful which allows me to hear nothing but the birds and the waves. Mornings like that, I spend walking along the waters edge.
I spent this morning out at Malibu just before a meeting. I wore a pink button up, purple trousers, and yellow Tod’s for a nice summer casual blend. Sadly, I didn’t make it to the meeting is this outfit because I got to close to the waves that left me running for a dry spot.
These beaches know the key to my heart!
