Venice Skate Park

Take me back to the boardwalk.. full of music, dancing, skaters, and skateboarders. Oh, and the most beautiful bubblegum sunset.

Venice Beach is one of my favorite beaches in Southern California. It is full of energy and all walks of life, but more importantly, it is the home to one of the dopest skate parks. I always wished that I took skateboarding more seriously. I often think, that had I stayed in California longer then surfing and skateboarding would have been a more integral part of my life.

I was so stoked on my return to Venice especially when I learned that people are able to rent boards and more. I rented a cruiser for half of the evening and road up and down the boardwalk until the sun began to set. I sat outside the skatepark and watched all of the true skaters go back and forth doing one trick after the next. I couldn’t help but watch a young lady who was giving the boys a run for their money. It was a total blast. I think next time I’ll have to jump out there myself and test my rusty skills.

I tell you.. You can take the girl out of Cali but you can never take Cali out of the girl!
