A block north of the Washington Square Park Arch is a quiet, charming, gated street that’ll make you feel like you’d walked onto a backstreet in Europe. The colorful cobblestone strip is known as the Washington Mews.
This New York City hidden gem has become one of my favorite places to venture through when exploring Greenwich Village. Each experience is different than the last. There’s something special about this quaint back alley. I wish that all of New York City held such charm.
A few weeks ago, I took my cousin, Brandon, to see the Washington Mews. He was blown away! We must’ve spent hours walking up and down the strip taking photos. He quickly learned why it was one of my favorite streets in the city.
Summer Go-To
My summer go-to has quickly become a short sleeve button up tucked into trousers. The sophisticated ensemble is casual yet chic. It’s a transitional look that is perfect for a day at the office, after work lounging, or weekend outings.
I’ve become obsessed with monotone looks. It’s one of those styles that we all thought was going to be a trend, but has becoming a staple, and I am all for it.
I put together my first blue monochromatic ensemble! The idea was to create something new using older pieces. The denim shirt was a no-brainer and perfect match for my Carolina and navy check trousers. As for the shoes, I pulled out one of my one of my oldest and favorite oxfords by JShoes.
Remember, quality of quantity! Why spend more money on clothing when you can create something new with what you have?!
