Recently, I was approached by Scotch Porter (a men’s grooming brand). After doing some research, I was excited to learn that the brand is black owned, the team is POC, and that they are self-proclaimed LGBTQ+ allies. This obviously resonated with me and my commitment to support black owned businesses.
One day while browsing on Instagram, Scotch Porter’s Senior Brand Director and Marketing Representative, Aleesha Worthington, stumbled across my handle. As she put it, she was inspired by “”my fearless self-expression.”” After chatting about the company and our experiences as black women in the industry, she shared her vision for a collaboration to celebrate Women’s History Month entitled “Scotch Porter x She’s a Gent: #ShesHistory.”
The campaign’s mission is to create a deeper conversation around the challenges that affect women by highlighting our unapologetic stories through style, grooming, sexuality, and experiences.
I really enjoyed working with Scotch Porter during our photo shoot. The team is woke and extremely professional! I can’t wait to continue building with this brand and create more incredible content.
