The George Cox x Fred Perry Monkey Boots in Oxblood may just be my new go-to this Fall.
1) I’m obsessed with Oxblood
2) I’m in love with just about anything military inspired
It comes as no surprise to me that Fred Perry decided to collaborate with one of the industries most innovative shoemakers, George Cox. Cox, established in 1906, is a pioneer of original lasts and patterns. Are you familiar with Dr. Marten’s? Well that rubber outsole is Cox. The brand became the licensed manufacturer in 1973 and continues to create heat sealed soles much like the one on the Monkey Boots that I am sporting.
The Monkey Boot comes in two colors – black and oxblood. The silhouette is based on an original Czechoslovakian standard issued army boot. Each pair is made in England with a high shine leather, 14 lace loops, and a thick rubber sole. The boots also come with an extra pair of black laces.
I paired this bold check shirt with raw denim jeans to continue with a military-inspired look. I switched out the black laces for the yellow to keep with the color pop of the shirt as well as the stitching of the denim. And why not grab a raincoat just in case? I mean Fall is just around the corner right?

July 30, 2018Thank you 🙂 The boots are awesome! You’re going to love them. They’re pretty true to size. I’m a men’s 6, which fit perfectly.
