Over the years, I’ve started to understand the importance of quality verses quantity. I prefer investing in pieces that will last as opposed to clothing that is cheap but that I can only wear a few times. I think one of the reasons why people chose quantity over quality is because of the myth that quality means coming out of pocket more. Well, I’m here to tell you that that’s not always true.
In preparation for my trip to Italy, New York Fashion Week, and an overall transition into Fall fashion, I hit up the Woodbury Commons Outlet with the Starbucks Rewards Visa Prepaid Card. I earned Stars towards Rewards all while getting my closet ready and up to par!
For those of you unfamiliar with the Starbucks Rewards Visa Prepaid Card, here’s how it works. The prepaid card is just that, prepaid! This means you are in complete control of your finances. Add as much money to the card as you’d like, but be sure to spend it to earn your points! Earn 1 Stars for every $10 you spend outside of Starbucks stores in addition to the 2 Stars for every $1 you earn for purchases within the stores. So, the more you spend the more you earn! And that’s exactly what I did!
Style Budget x Self-Expression
Style should be born out of exploration, reflection, courage, commitment, joy, integrity, and comfort. BUT…Being a woman in menswear comes with its challenges. There’s the never ending presumption that masculine presenting women are trying to be men AND, if society’s assumption aren’t enough, there’s the battle of finding clothing that fits.
I had every intention of treating myself to a shopping spree, but I was really nervous that I’d walk away empty handed. Then I saw the 70% off at the Vince store and decided to check it out. I’m so happy I did because I walked away with a ton of goodies that matched my androgynous style and I even splurge a little a on my partner! See, quality can be found for little quantity 🙂
So, take control of your finances and take control of your closet. Sign up for the Starbucks Rewards Visa Prepaid Card, and then get to shopping! AND, on that Starbucks break, hit me up to let me know what great quality pieces you found.
