By now you’d think that I’d be an expert on the whole consultation process, but nope. I’m finding it more and more challenging to push the boundaries when creating a suit. Shao and I have created so many non-traditional, innovative ensembles that I’m literally hitting a creative roadblock when it comes to making something new and different. Lately, I’ve been getting stuck on the smallest details like single breasted or double, notch lapels or peak, side tabs or belt loops, cuffs or no cuffs?
Fun fact: I’m a sucker for drop crotch anything. So, we figured, why not start there. Surprisingly, we’ve only custom-made one other drop crotch suit, which is the Wool Pinstripe Suit. The reason is, that we are always trying to create something new and I also think it can be really tricky customizing the perfect drop crotch pant. If the fabric is too stiff or the drop isn’t cut correctly then it can be hard to move in the pants. However, Shao is as meticulous as I am when it comes to details, so I knew she could pull it off.
