Brands and marketers are starting to diversity their marketing efforts but they still have a long way to go!
We live in an extremely binary world with a beauty industry that is very gendered. Sadly, who gets seen as masculine or feminine is defined by how others perceive traits associated with gender markers.
When I think of fragrance and the way it’s advertised, I immediately picture a White European male with an athletic-build. If my memory serves me correctly, I don’t recall seeing a Black male in any fragrance ad until Diddy launched his Sean John collection. However, myself, and other masculine of center women are still waiting for the day that we’ll see an androgynous and/or masculine presenting woman in an ad. Then again, maybe that’s the point of today’s article…to remind the LGBTQ+ communities that we have to continue creating our own space and visibility.
Armani Code Profumo
Launched by Giorgio Armani in 2016, Armani Code Profumo is considered a men’s fragrance but it resonates with all types of masculinity. This powerful and sensual aroma is built around the Tonka Bean note that’s amplified by wood, ambers, and cardamom. This fiery fragrance is very long lasting, but won’t blow the door off of people.
Code Profumo is a fragrance that is bound to help you feel like your best self! It’s perfect for a night out on the town, big events, and romantic occasions.
If you’re boo’d up like myself then I guarantee your significant other will love this warm and enticing fragrance. However, if your partner is anything like mine then expect it to be the one fragrance they won’t let you wear without them.
Armani Code Profumo is available in a variety of sizes from 6.7oz/200 ml to 2 oz/60 ml, and 4.2oz/100 ml.
Armani Code is available for purchase directly online at Giorgio Armani Beauty or various retail partners like Saks, Macy’s, Sephora, and Ulta.

June 12, 2022While this may be considered a masculine fragrance, it resonates with all types of masculinity. Since both men and women posses masculine and feminine energy, it only makes sense that females are also attracted to this fragrance and would want to wear it as well.
