The Hideout Clothing (THC) is an edgy luxury brand rooted in the Caribbean and inspired by international streetwear. The brand celebrates the melting pot of Caribbean culture, which shines through its authentic and captivating streetwear aesthetic.
I first learned about THC at the 2nd Annual International Fashion Festival held in Barbados. A few months later, I stumbled upon them again in Las Vegas at the Liberty Fairs – a contemporary fashion and lifestyle trade show.
As a blogger and influencer for Liberty Fairs, I partnered with the trade show to help amplify brands on their showroom floor. After forging such a natural and authentic relationship with Bas, one of the THC’s founders, when in Barbados, it was a no-brainer to continue building on that while at the trade show.
Streetwear Meets Smart Casual
One of the THC signature and most popular items is their cargo pants. When I stumbled across these mustard cargo pants, I knew exactly how I wanted to style them…streetwear meets smart casual.
What I love most about smart casual attire is that it’s meant to be fun and chic, unlike traditional business attire.
A blazer can be worn in a variety of ways, making it the perfect complimenting garment. During the spring/summer fashion season prior to the show, The Tailory New York partnered with me and a few other artists to create a collection inspired by Jean-Michael Basquiat. Since I’m always hoping to spread love, I painted a sunset heart with blue, orange, and yellow drops drizzled around and topped it with my iteration of the late American artist’s signature crown. The custom blazer brought the outfit together perfectly, elevating the outfit from street to edgy smart casual attire.
She’s a Gent Reminder
Remember…True style is never right or wrong, it’s a matter of being yourself on purpose!
